News Update - 04/7/08Greetings Y’all.
We here at Cannonball Headquarters would like to give y’all a big hearty “How Do!” & are pleased to announce the arrival of our new bass player! His name is Kevin, but because of his Irish heritage, we have officially nick named him Mickey Big Mouth or just simply “The Mick”. He hails from the great town of Cleveland, Ohio & the kid loves his 30 pack of cheap beer. He’s fitting right in. We have been locked away at Fort Awsome rehearsing on new songs (& a lot of old ones to get the kid up to speed) for another record to be recorded after we all return from the UK tour. We will record a live blues EP that we will be taking over to England with us before selling at our state side gigs. Of course you can purchase it right here on this site from our “Merch” page. But that CD will be completed by June 1st. So y’all just gonna have to wait a bit. Also posted are some new promo photos of us at Fort Awsome rehearsing. So don’t forget to check those out. Other then that, we have some great shows lined up for April that will see us out every weekend starting on April 5th at one of our favorite hometown haunts, Quencher’s Saloon, where the young Mick will take his debut Cannonball show. Then on to Rockford, Bloomington & the Great Missouri tour of St. Louis & Kansas City.
In other Cannonball news…We are on the verge of purchasing a new van. For those of you fortunate enough to have ridden in Her Majesty, she will be taking her final bow through our run in April (if she makes it through the entire month). She’s been a good girl & we hate to see her go. But she must be put out to pasture. It’s called the Glue Factory Blues.
